Dark Days
Wow! This movie goes back to the argument we had in class a few weeks ago. These people in the movie had an opportunity in life and they wasted it. Sure, they may not have had the best parents, but they decided to turn to drugs instead of going to school and getting educated. There was even one case of one man who went to jail for shoplifting I believe, and his daughter died while he was in jail. These people are deserving of compassion, and yes, the government does help them out a little bit. However, who is to say that they won't use the money they receive to keep on buying drugs?

They all got a second chance, and maybe that would make them realize that they need to stop using drugs, but honestly I don't think that all will. There was one guy that stopped smoking crack and was only smoking weed, so I think he does have a good chance of making a better life. He looked the happiest out of all of them and seemed to want to change his life. As for the others, I don't know, if they continue "hustling" , they will go back to where they were.
Javier put a little more effort into your entries please, it will affect your grade.
Sounds like they're more deserving of pity. They did receive that second chance, that new beginning. Most of them in the tunnels were able to get themselves off the drugs, realizing that it was a big mistake in the first place. To think they would start again after receiving another go at life is, to me, pretty improbable.
